Answer:
Open Outlook 2002, click on Tools and then choose Email Accounts. The following box will appear:






Select Add a new e-mail account and then click on Next. The following box appears:





Select POP3 and then click on Next. The following box appears:





1. Under "User Information", enter your full name and your email account as shown above.

 

2. Under "Login Information" enter your hosting account username as shown above if you want to check the messages for the "default email accountÓ.

 

3. In the "Password" field enter the password.  Check the box ÒRemember passwordÓ if you desire.

 

4. Under "Server Information" in the "Incoming mail server (POP3)" field enter yourdomain.com or the IP address of your account.  In most cases your IP address is the number as shown above. (For example, if your domain is abc.com enter abc.com (do not enter www.yourdomain.com or mail.yourdomain.com)

 

5. In the "Outgoing mail server (SMTP)" field enter your local ISP SMTP server. For example, mail.yourISP.com or yourdomain.com, for example, if your domain is abc.com enter abc.com as shown above (do not enter www.yourdomain.com or mail.yourdomain.com.) Please note that some ISPs do not allow the usage of 3rd party SMTP servers. If this is the case, you will have to use your own ISP's SMTP server. Contact your ISP for more information.  For example purposes, the IP shown above may work; however, youÕll need to configure the outgoing server settings by clicking the button Òmore settingsÓ, then click on the Òoutgoing serverÓ tab, then check the box in the example in the next image below. Otherwise click ÒnextÓ.

 



Click OK after this step is complete. The Email Accounts box will be left click next and the following box appears:






Click Finish. Your Outlook XP email configuration is now complete.


You may need to restart Outlook before you can start sending and receiving email.
