The quick change shackle design was originally introduced by our company years ago. But we failed to position our products in such a way as to leverage a 30-second change out. We were silly. We locked ourselves into doing business just like the other big padlock manufacturers were ~ “if you need a lock with a 3” shackle, then we’ll sell you a lock with a 3” shackle and charge you to do the installation.” Installing that shackle takes time, and time is money. What we’ve decided is that we are done being silly. Instead of forcing you to buy padlocks with the longer shackles installed, we’re now giving you a much better solution. Buy our padlock with a standard 1” shackle installed. Then, buy the associated “Shackle PAC” with the 2” and 3” shackles loose. Now you have the power to decide whether the padlock will ultimately be a 1”, or a 2”, or a 3” padlock. You keep the extra shackles for other installations. Here are the two big advantages of the Shackle PACs. First, the pricing of a PACLOCK with a Shackle PAC is CHEAPER than the other manufacturer’s 2” only padlock! Not only do you get two additional shackles (and the easy ability to change them out), but you get it for cheaper than what they sell their 2” padlock! Secondly, we can ship your order very fast… we don’t have to change the shackles out for you. Instead, we grab the padlock off the shelf and the Shackle PAC off the shelf and ship it out. You save money AND you get your product faster. Think about how you can cut your inventory costs down!
