888-562-5565		Your Logo, Your Locks The idea is simple. Put your business’ name on our padlocks. Take our high security, solid body, rekeyable padlocks and make them yours. After all, this is exactly what many American “manufacturers” are doing ~ they buy padlocks in large enough quantities that they can get the “real” manufacturer to put their name on them. Since Pacific Lock truly manufacturers its own products, we are unconstrained by large volumes or the need to have our name on the product. How does it work? We manufacture our padlocks with no stampings on the lock body. Then, we ship it from our factory in China to our headquarters in Los Angeles. In a partnership with a well-known laser engraving company, we then etch or mark anything onto the body of the padlocks. The only limitation is that your ideas need to fit on the locks. Other than that, you can do custom logos, custom text, foreign languages, school names, and so on. In terms of costs, you pay what we pay. PACLOCK will not up-tick the pricing of the engraving service. That doesn’t mean that you can’t! Generally speaking, the costs for engraving is directly related to the amount of laser time needed to make the mark. Here are some quick rules of thumb: Two lines of text on one side of the lock Hardened steel body ~ $0.90 Brass body ~ $0.75 Aluminum body ~ $.50 A simple logo with one line of text on one side of the lock Hardened steel body ~ $1.50 Brass body ~ $1.30 Aluminum body ~ $.95 The reason for the price differences between the material types is that the laser engraves the aluminum very easily, the brass somewhat easily, and the hardened steel takes a bit longer. Pricing is done on a per job basis. We charge a $35 setup fee that will be waived for engraving orders of 200 locks or more. All in all, both the aluminum and brass body locks come out looking spectacular! And although the hardened steel doesn’t stand out as much as the other two types of materials, the marking is just as readable as the stamping manufacturers do in China.
