|Dr. Pamela Connolly is currently a licensed clinical psychologist with a successful private practice in Beverly Hills, California. She provides mental health care to adults with a wide range of psychological complaints including post traumatic stress disorder, depression, anxiety, personality disorders and substance abuse. She is a trained hypnotherapist, offering hypnosis for smoking cessation, appetite control, trauma recovery, self-esteem issues and she also provides hypnosis services to dental patients and others who need an alternative to anesthesia. Dr. Connolly provides psychotherapy to both individuals and couples.
The field of human sexuality is another of Dr. Connollys specialty areas. Founder and President of the Los Angeles Sexuality Center (www.LAsexualitycenter.com), she treats clients for a range of sexual disorders, and also counsels those with gender issues. Dr. Connolly is Secretary of the American Association of Sex Educators, Counselors and Therapists (AASECT). The organizations website address is www.AASECT.org. In the past two years, Dr. Connolly has completed several research projects, including the largest empirical study ever undertaken on the psychological attributes of individuals who engage in power exchange sexuality, and several other field studies on the gender liminal people of Samoa, Tonga and India.
